Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

South Road Upgrade
This project upgraded South Road in Moorabbin, between the Nepean Highway and Warrigal Road, including: construction of a new city bound right turn lane to improve access to Nepean Highway new turning lanes for the East Boundary Road intersection adding new traffic lights at the Bignell Road intersection modifying the South Road, Jasper Road and Taylor Street intersection to improve traffic flow and safety upgrading bike lanes and footpaths along the Nepean Highway between Patterson Road and Katoomba Street
Warrnambool Rail Line Upgrade – Stage 2
This project will deliver further upgrades to the Warrnambool Rail Line that will complement the works undertaken during Stage 1 of the project. Upgrades will include track works to improve the ride quality, reliability and resilience of the line for passenger and freight rail services. These works will also assist with the introduction of modern VLocity-class trains onto the Warrnambool Rail Line and maximise the benefits of the new trains for passengers. 
Western Port Highway Upgrade
This project upgraded two intersections on the Western Port Highway in outer south-east Melbourne. The project upgraded the roundabouts at the intersections of Ballarto Road and Cranbourne-Frankston Road with traffic lights to improve safety and manage traffic flow on and off the highway.
Western Rail Plan - Further Planning
This funding will support planning for the extension of the Melbourne electrified network to Melton on the Ballarat Line and Wyndham Vale on the Geelong Line.
Freight Bridge Upgrades
Stage 1 upgrades, including strengthening works, to approximately 10 bridges on key freight routes across Tasmania for stage one including: - Forth River Bridge (Westbound) and Meander River Bridge on the Bass Highway; - Esk Main Road Rail Underpass on Esk Main Road; - Macquarie River Bridge and South Esk River Bridge on the Midland Highway; - Bust Me Gall Creek Bridge, Lynes Creek Bridge, Tasman Highway Flood Opening, Tasman Highway Flood Opening, and Brid River Bridge on the Tasman Highway.
Albany Highway - Kelmscott to Williams Pavement Rehabilitation and Hotham River Bridge Replacement
The project will: Rehabilitate the pavement on 29 km over various sections between Kelmscott and Williams upgrading the sections of road subject to regular pavement failures Replace the ageing Hotham River Bridge with a new concrete structure to current width and barrier standards which will improve safety
Canberra - South West Corridor upgrade package
This long-term project involves the completion of an infrastructure study, traffic & options study and Aimsun peer review and associated reports.
Tanami Road Upgrade
The project includes the upgrading and sealing of Tanami Road, which connects Great Northern Highway at Halls Creek, and Stuart Highway near Alice Springs. .
Molonglo River Bridge
This project involves the completion of John Gorton Drive and the construction of a new bridge crossing over the Molonglo River. It will support significant land releases in Molonglo, including the full development of Denman Prospect, Whitlam and the Molonglo Commercial Centre. It will also improve traffic safety and accessibility for west Canberra.
Brand Highway (Muchea to Gingin) Pavement Rehabilitation and Widening
Over a 45 km section of the Brand Highway, the project will: Rehabilitate (granular overlay) 30 km of pavement; and Widen 27 km including wide audible centreline from Muchea to the Gingin turnoff. The project complements the recently completed NorthLink WA project.
