Parkes Way Upgrade - Planning and Design
The project involves planning for upgrades to Parkes Way and William Hovell Drive between Kings Avenue and the William Hovell Drive/Bindubi Street intersection. This planning will focus upgrades to improve accessibility, connectivity, and safety for all road users along this key east-west arterial road in central Canberra.
Broome-Cape Leveque Road Upgrading and Community Access Roads
The project involves the reconstruction and sealing of the first approximately 13km of Broome Cape Leveque Road (including the construction of a roundabout), the reconstruction and sealing of approximately 2km of Trochus Hatchery Access Road, and the upgrading of Lombadina Djarindjin Road.
Freight Vehicle Productivity Improvements Program
The project will prioritise works including overtaking lanes, rest areas and raising of power lines across the freight network aimed at addressing safety and increasing productivity.
Goldfields Highway (Wiluna to Meekatharra) construct and seal priority sections
The Goldfields Highway between Wiluna and Meekatharra section is 180 km long, of which, 125 km remains unsealed resulting in low levels of service for freight transport, resources and tourism industries and general road users. The project will construct and seal 10km of the Goldfields Highway between Wiluna and Meekatharra at two priority locations.
Beams Road Open Level Crossing
This project is expected to improve safety at the rail level crossing on Beams Road in Carseldine through the delivery of a new overpass bridge, removal of existing level crossing boom gates and facilities for active transport.
Kenwick Intermodal Terminal
The Kenwick Intermodal Terminal will be developed at the Kenwick Rail Freight Facility. It will have an operational throughput capacity of approximately 170,000 to 200,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit of shipping containers annually. The development will comprise approximately 6 hectares of full container rated hardstand, 900m of train frontage standing room with contingent land for a second rail track, and associated facilities such as dedicated heavy vehicle access to and from the facility, refrigerated container racks, and fire suppression and emergency services infrastructure. The investment will enable a reduction of on-road heavy vehicle movements and associated road congestion by supporting movement of freight by rail within the Perth metropolitan area.
Bruce Highway - Duplication Strategy
The project supported planning for future upgrades along the Bruce Highway including consideration for the duplication of the highway from Curra to Cairns.
Ettamogah Rail Hub (ERH)
The project delivered 5 kilometres of new arrival and departure sidings at the Ettamogah Rail Hub (ERH) so that trains calling at ERH can pull off the single track main-line.  The new siding extension will connect with Inland Rail to improve regional freight connectivity and reduce the cost for freight operators to access key markets.
Grade separating road interfaces
The Inland Rail project interfaces with national, state and regional roads. This project will enable additional grade separations on the alignment.
Centenary Bridge Upgrade
This project is expected to deliver a new bridge west of the existing Centenary Bridge and remediation of the existing bridge to accommodate three lanes.
