Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Heathcote Road Upgrade, Hammondville to Voyager Point
The project is to upgrade and widen 2.1km section of Heathcote Road to four lanes divided carriageway between Infantry Parade at Holsworthy and The Avenue at Voyager Point. The project also includes: • Upgrading the Macarthur Drive and The Avenue intersections to signalised intersections• Duplicating three existing road bridges over Harris Creek, Williams Creek and the T8 Airport railway line respectively• Replacing two existing road bridges over Harris Creek and Williams Creek respectively
Perth to Bunbury Faster Rail Business Case
The project will develop a strategic business case that will investigate options to provide faster passenger rail services from Perth to Bunbury. The project will identify existing constraints and determine future demand and operational requirements. The project will include a planning and investment program that will identify potential projects, cost and staging options to help guide future investment decisions. The project will also consider population growth, travel patterns, private sector financing opportunities and access to jobs, services and affordable housing.
Hogbin Drive and De Havilland Way Intersection Upgrade
This project involves the upgrade of the existing intersection at Hogbin Drive and De Havilland Way. This includes the design and construction of a two lane roundabout. It will cater for the expected increase in heavy vehicle traffic associated with the development of Enterprise Park, near the Coffs Harbour Airport.
Western Distributor Smart Motorway
This project includes the upgrade of the Sydney motorway network from the ANZAC Bridge in Rozelle to the Bradfield Highway, Milsons Point. The Smart Motorway project will use complementary technologies to monitor traffic conditions, manage congestion and respond to incidents in real time. It will provide motorists with real-time information about travel times, while bringing together intelligent technologies to ease congestion and provide a safer, smoother and more reliable journey.
Port Augusta to Perth (WA) – Coolgardie-Esperance Highway – Emu Rocks
The project will reconstruct and realign a 25 km section between Widgiemooltha and Kambalda, together with shoulder sealing and the construction of an overtaking lane in each direction. The additional funding will continue to improve safety on this important freight route.
Newcastle Inner City Bypass, Rankin Park to Jesmond
This project involves construction of a bypass of inner-city Newcastle. The bypass will be built between Rankin Park and Jesmond, to the west of John Hunter Hospital.
Reid Highway Interchange - West Swan Road
The Reid Highway together with the Roe Highway, Kwinana Freeway and Mitchell Freeway forms part of a freight ring road within the Perth metropolitan area. Traffic on the Reid Highway is estimated at 35,000 vehicles per day with 11 per cent heavy vehicles. The project will construct a grade separated interchange at the intersection of West Swan Road and the Reid Highway.
Roe Highway Widening and Abernethy Road Upgrade
The project will widen the Roe Highway to six lanes between Great Eastern Highway Bypass and Clayton Street and construction of dual carriageway on Abernethy Road from Adelaide Street to Great Eastern Highway Bypass. The project will include tie-ins with the Roe Highway/Great Eastern Highway and Roe Highway/Abernethy Road interchanges.
Coomera Connector Stage 1 (Coomera to Nerang)
This project is expected to deliver Stage 1 of the Coomera Connector, including a new 16 kilometre road connection between Coomera and Nerang, bridges over the Coomera and Nerang rivers, provision of public transport, and active transport facilities.The full Coomera Connector is a 45 kilometre corridor between Nerang and Loganholme.
Stirling Bus Interchange
The project will upgrade Stirling Bus Interchange on the Joondalup rail line, located to the north of the Stephenson Avenue extension across the Mitchell Freeway. The project will construct a new bridge over Mitchell Freeway and associated bus interchange infrastructure, to provide additional interchange capacity and improved bus operations.
