Andrews Rd, Booborowie - 111090-20SA-RTR
Andrews Road is an unsealed category 2 commodity road carrying high volumes of freight predominately livestock and feed from the Princess Royal feedlot and primary produce such as grain and hay from the surrounding area. Volumes of freight typically exceed 50,000 tons per annum. Vehicle combinations include 26m B Double and 36.5m A Double Road trains. The existing road bridge that spans the Baldry Creek has recently had a load limit introduced of 42.5 ton and can only support single directional vehicle movements at any given time based on the current structural capacity of the bridge structure. This does not meet the needs of freight movements in the area which require a 166 ton load limit and simultaneous bi direction vehicle movements.Demolition of the existing structure and installation of multi cell box culverts across the creek. The design load will allow unrestricted movements of laden 36.5m A Double vehicles.Total cost of proposed project is $423,661
Paxton Tce, Burra SA - 111089-20SA-RTR
Ongoing history of localized flooding events impacting on multiple residential properties and Council infrastructure. Large catchment area on the eastern side of the township generates high volume, high velocity storm water runoff which is currently managed via surface infrastructure such as kerb and gutter, and open drains. The existing stormwater infrastructure is inadequate to manage stormwater runoff.Installation of new underground stormwater system composing of – 470m of 450mm to 675mm stormwater culverts, with 16 new side entry pit/top entry pits collecting surface water runoff.Total cost of proposed project is $394,604

Failures present on this road include longitudinal cracking, crocodile cracking, rutting and some heaving of the pavement. Pavement rehabilitation is required in order to provide an expected level of service and minimize reactive maintenance.Pre construction works include service; service locating and geotechnical testing (borelogs, particle distribution, CBR and UCS). Construction works include; removal of existing asphalt wearing course, slag/cement stabilization of the existing pavement base to a depth of 320mm and a minimum design modulus of 3500MPa and new 50mm AC10 wearing course.
