How to nominate for the Black Spot Program

Nominations for Black Spot locations are invited from state and territory governments, local councils, community groups and associations, road user groups, industry and individuals.

Black Spot nomination forms

All nominations should be made on the official Black Spot Nomination Form. All completed nomination forms must be mailed to the relevant state or territory authority. Sites that fail to meet eligibility criteria with regard to crash history, or are not supported by a road safety audit, cannot be considered.

On receipt of a completed Black Spot Nomination Form, the relevant state or territory transport agency will examine the nominated site's eligibility, and may undertake an economic assessment of a treatment proposal. All nominations will be referred for consideration by the appropriate Consultative Panel.
