Project description

Currently Jabiru drive is accessed through a priority controlled intersection at Milroy Drive on Yeppoon Road. Jabiru Drive provides access to a number of industrial properties through. However, with large number of industrial vehicles entering and exiting Jabiru Drive on a daily basis, this intersection proved to be inefficient and unsafe for both local and industrial traffic. Council has future plans to connect Jabiru Drive to Yeppoon Road / Jordy Drive signalised intersection to mitigate these issues. Under this project, Stage 1 of a new Industrial Collector is constructed, from existing signalised intersection on Yeppoon Road to existing Jabiru Drive. This road provides safer and more efficient connection to the Jabiru Drive industrial area including the landfill site, whilst improving safety and efficiency of the adjacent road network.

Construction of a new Industrial Collector road and connection to landfill site, to a length of 250m approximately.

Total cost of proposed project is $636,676
