Project DescriptionExisting gravel pavement is breaking up causing corrugations and potholing.
Intersection of North Road and Fisheries Road is in a high speed rural zone at which four accidents have occurred since 1990 resulting in i death and 2 serious injuries. The intersection of North Road and Craig Road is in a high speed rural zone at three accidents have occurred since 1994 resulting 7 serious injuries
Reconstruct road for a length of 4.3km with a seal pavement width of 7m together with a 2m sealed shoulder and open earth drains.
Roundabouts to be constructed as part of these works at the following intersections with North Road namely Craig Road and Fisheries Road.
Total cost of proposed project is $4,995,665 |
