Project DescriptionTraffic volumes have increased significantly and has resulted in congestion in this location where dual lanes merge to single lanes. Turning into Hamilton road has been hampered by the increased traffic, which will become worse once the new Recreation Facility is built (early 2012) providing an additional access point onto Hamilton road. Traffic will need to be controlled at this point.
Widen this section of Hamilton road to construct dual lanes to match existing dual lanes on either side of this section of road. A new roundabout will be constructed at the new intersection of Hamilton road and Recreation Facility entrance to control traffic flows and conjestion.
Total cost of proposed project is $1,480,000 |
