Project DescriptionInadequate pavement strength and seal width (5.5m). Traffic safety, two way passing of vehicles requires one of the vehicles (usually the smaller, the car) to move to the left onto the unsealed shoulder. The seal width is insuuficient to safety allow passing with both vehicles whilst remaining on the seal pavement. (The heavy vehicles are semi trailers and truck and dogs and they mix with normal vehicular traffic (including school buses))
Widen, strenghten and reshape existing shoulders, strenghten existing pavement with 100 mm of gravel then seal 7.1 m wide
Total cost of proposed project is $184,399 |
