Project DescriptionThe section of road is rough and uneven with poor drainage. This section of road is within the urban area and provides access to residential housing. It also provides access to grain storage. As part of the project a 200m section of footpath will be constructed
The section of road will be reconstructed for a total length of 440m. The existing surface will be ripped and crushed and pavement material added to give an overall pavement width of 8m. The surface will be prepared and sealed with bitumen for a width of 8m
A final wearing sealed surface will be applied in December 2012 on the road for a length of 440m and a width of 8m to protect the road formation from water, provide drainage and create a non skid surface. In order to solve the drainage problem kerb and channel will be constructed for the length of the road. Also as part of the project a 200m section of footpath will be constructed.
Total cost of proposed project is $214,894 |
