Project DescriptionThe existing 6m wide bitumen seal is too narrow for the number of commercial vehicles now using this section of Curtain Fig Tree Road. Two vehicles are unable to pass without utilising the unsealed road verge or the table drain which creates an unsafe environment for the road users. The existing road pavement is also substandard and is showing signs of detoriation from heavey use by commercial vehicles.
The proposed works include the widening of the existing 6m wide bitumen road to 8m to allow safe passing of commercial vehicles and reconstruction of the road pavement to improve it's load bearing capacity. |
