Project Description

Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) have advised the Shire of Toodyay that Toodyay Bindi Bindi Bridge No. 703 is at the end of its effective life with the timber decking and stringers in poor condition and requiring replacement. It is more cost effective to replace the bridge with culverts instead of repairing/renewing the bridge. The benefits are a new asset, improved width and when constructed to full formation, a guard rail is not required.

It is proposed to replace Toodyay Bindi Bindi Road Bridge No. 703 with culverts. Quotes for a waterway investigation and design are currently being obtained. At this stage it is proposed that Bridge No. 703 will be replaced with seven barrel 1,800mm x 1,800mm box culverts.
