The configuration and profile of the existing road is insufficient to cater for traffic volumes resulting from development within the Bahrs Scrub area. The existing geometry of the road is also below the desired standards to cater for the road capacity and speed environment.
The works proposed involve reconstructing the existing road to a two lane urban road standard. The project involves widening of the existing pavement and improving the horizontal and vertical geometry of the road. The Wuraga Road / Menora Road intersection and Wuraga Road / Prangley Road / Teys Road intersection will also be upgraded to cater for the increased traffic volumes and speed environment as part of this reconstruction.
Total cost of proposed project is $3,700,000
