Project DescriptionThompson Street harbours both a major Child Care Centre and a Primary school. It is a high density traffic location where speeding does ocurr. To prevent a potential vehicular or vehicular/pedestrian accident, the current school crossing needs to be brought up to standard. Two speed humps will also be installed 50 metres either side of the crossing.
Installation of a raised pedestrian crossing, 4.5 x 9 metres and the installation of two proposed speed humps 50 metres distant from each side of the children's crossing will assist in the elimination of speeding vehicles and reduce, if not eliminate the potential for an accident. |
