Funding Program:Roads to Recovery Program
Transport Mode:Road
Expected Start/Finish:Feb 2014 - Apr 2014
Australian Government Contribution:$168,107

Project Description

This road has been identified as a strategic road carrying large volumes of freight, in particular farm produce over the harvest period. Current state of the road is poor with minimal rubble depth with high maintenance requirements. Sealing 1.613 kilometres will complete sealing the entire length of the road.

The works will comprise the reconstruction of 1.613 kilometres of unsealed road and upgrade to a sealed road surface. This includes ripping and relaying the existing material, importing 250mm (compacted) of new base material to strengthen and widen the existing base. The road will be completed with a 7m two coat 14/7mm spray seal and 9m wide formation.
