|Funding Program:||Roads to Recovery Program
|Expected Start/Finish:||Feb 2014 - Apr 2014
|Australian Government Contribution:||$131,286
The current condition of the road poses a safety issue with several areas of pavement deformation including large depressions causing excessive roughness. The road is also used extensively for cartage of produce in particular grapes and the excessive roughness contributes to damage of the produce while transporting.
The works will comprise the reconstruction of 0.9 kilometres of sealed road. The works will include ripping and relaying the existing material, importing 200mm (compacted) of new base material to strengthen and widen the existing base. The road will be completed with a 7m two coat 14/7mm spay seal and 9 metres wide formation.
