Project DescriptionThe existing gravel surface makes it unsafe for vehicles to overtake safely due to dust creating poor visibility and is becoming more of a problem due to the increase in the number of commercial vehicles using Ootann Road.
The work proposed is to widen and reconstruct the existing gravel road to a two lane bitumen standard for a length of 2.6km. Works include widening of existing formation, new gravel pavement, bitumen seal and drainage works. This section of bitumen will be the fourth section of bitumen on Ootann Road and will give traffic the opportunity to overtake safely on four sections of Ootann Road.
Total cost of proposed project is $1,499,872 |
