Project Description

Napperby Road is the main access to Laramba Aboriginal Community and Napperby cattle station. It is heavily used by building materials and cattle transportation, mining and tourism. The road has poor pavement surface which is worn up to 0.5 metres below natural surface levels. The road tends to pond water in numerous areas because of poor drainage, which often closes the road in wet weather. The road requires in various sections, lifting in height, and reinstating formation and drainage to improve access.

Construct and reform sandclay pavement at various sections of the raod for a total of 8 kilometres. Reform drainage and gravel sheet floodways in sheet flow areas.
