Project DescriptionThis project will complete the final section of a north-south regional transpport corridor, designed to facilitate freight movements acroos the region. This section of the road was unsealed and not fit for purpose to B-Double Standard.
Work proposed includes upgrading the vertical and horizontal alignment and sealing the 12.4 kilometre section of the road as well as re-arranging the road alignment at both the northern and southern ends of the Ferries McDonald Conservation Parkto force drivers to slow down and stop prior to proeeding through the park. The road surface texture will also be altered through the park and signage and other visial cues (entrance walls) will be constructed.
