Project Description

The project involves safety works to improve visibility, construct new turning lanes and guard rails, upgrade intersections and drainage and improve line markings to sections of the D'Aguilar Highway.


The improvements will make the highway safer and reduce crash rates.


The Australian Government has committed $16 million to the project.


The project commenced major construction in October 2015 and was completed in October 2016. Additional works for the delivery of a second overtaking lane between Chambers Road and Peterson Road as well as additional safety improvements were completed in January 2019.
