Project DescriptionPlanning for upgrades between Bulli Tops and Picton Road on Princes Motorway M1. BenefitsThe project is expected to improve traffic flow along the M1 Princes Motorway resulting in improved freight efficiency, connectivity and productivity within the Wollongong and Illawarra region, particularly between Port Kembla and key regional industries.
The project is also expected to increase road capacity and improve access and travel times for road freight and reduce the crash rate and fatality rate. FundingThe Australian Government has committed $42 million to this project. The Australian and NSW governments are funding this project on a 50:50 basis. |
