The project will address the traffic congestion issue due to the large volume of vehicles turning right onto the Great Western Highway from Castlereagh Road, by amplifying the existing road network.
The project will improve traffic flow by removing the traffic bottleneck at the Mulgoa Road/High Street intersection.
The Australian Government is providing $35 million towards the construction of this project.
The tender for the project closed on 12 July 2018. Construction schedule to be determined, likely completion date late 2020.
