Project DescriptionThe Ballarat Freight Hub will be located in the planned Ballarat West Employment Zone (BWEZ) and will be capable of handling High Productivity Vehicles. BenefitsThe project is expected to support producers and transporters in the region and incentivise further shifting freight from road to rail. FundingThe Australian Government has committed $9.1 million to this project. TimetablePlanning for the project is underway, with construction expected to commence in late 2022 and expected be completed by mid 2023. |
