This section of road carries traffic to schools, shops and the beach. The underlying pavement has failed under heavy traffic due to subdivision construction. The road driving surface has cracked and rutted, the surface holds water for many hours after a rain event, it is a school zone and this makes the the road unsafe.
Remove isolated areas of failed wearing surface and pavement material (approx 720M2), replace with 20mm asphalt (3180M2) then apply a 40mm thick asphalt overlay to the total road segment.
Total cost of proposed project is $79,481
