Project DescriptionThis project replaced the existing Yellow Gin Creek Bridge to a two-way, two lane standard. Approaches will be higher and wider, with an 11m seal width. The project also includes an intersection upgrade at Beachmont Road. BenefitsThe project will reduce the frequency and extent of road closure at Yellow Gin Bridge, improving freight efficiency for north-south inter and intra- state truck movements. FundingThe Australian Government contributed $11.8 million towards the project, in partnership with the Queensland Government. TimetableConstruction commenced in September 2015 and was completed in July 2016. |
