The Improvement Strategy will guide the ongoing improvement of the road corridor within the corridor boundaries determined in 2011 for a future duplication of the Barton Highway.
The strategy will provide a list of investment priorities and the intervention levels for these to occur.
The Australian Government contributed $150,000 to this study with the NSW Government providing a matching amount.
The project has been completed and was announced in late 2016. The Barton Highway Improvement Strategy was published on 6 January 2017.
