Project DescriptionThe project widened shoulders and installed wire rope barriers on the Midland Highway south of Kempton. BenefitsThe project achieved a 3 Star AusRAP Safety Rating on this section of the Midland Highway. The project improved safety, capacity and overtaking opportunities. FundingThe cost of the project was $5,968,694. The Australian Government contributed $4,774,955 and the Tasmanian Government $1,193,739. TimetableConstruction commenced on 12 December 2014 and was completed on 30 April 2016. |
