Various sections are particularly rocky and require sheeting to provide a safer running surface and less tyre damage for an increasing amount of tourist traffic with caravans and camper trailers.Other sections require resheeting to provide a more durable and safe running surface with the increase in traffic and mix of stock transport with tourist traffic.
Suitable local material will be used to sheet and water bind the rocky sections and less durable soil sections to enhance the durable life of the formed road surface particularly during dry conditions.
Total cost of proposed project is $739,775
