This section of Sedan Dip Road is 2.45km of 6m wide unsealed black soil road. As Sedan Dip Road is an arterial road linking McKinlay Shire with Cloncurry and is subject to heavy stock moments and tourist traffic. This black soil road consistently requires work to smooth corrugations and rectify potholes and during wet periods, is often impassable for at least 2 weeks at a time. This segment of road requires sealing to provide all-weather access to the travelling public.
Form and seal 2.45km of 6m wide of unsealed black soil road. The starting point on Sedan Dip Road to be 26.27km from the Link Road intersection with Sedan Dip Road. Works also to include re-instatement of shoulders,road markers and signage.
Total cost of proposed project is $480,079
