The current seal is at the end of its useful life and failing in sections. The failing pavement is causing extensive potholes, resticting vehicle speeds to 40 kilometres per hour. The road width is inconsistent, varying from a 5.6 metre seal to a 7 metre seal with no shoulders and line marking is also poor.

The proposed work includes repairing the failing pavement and potholes and resealing the 8.7 kilomoteres of sealed road to a 9.2 metre carriageway and a 7.2 metre sealed surface.

Total cost of proposed project is $700,000
