Project DescriptionTullaroop Road is a Rural Link Road and by-pass road for Maryborough where the existing road consists of 3,775 metres length of narrow 7.2 metre wide pavement and a 6 metre wide seal and poor geometry on one bend which is inadequate to safely accommodate B Double and Higher Mass heavy vehicles. The narrow width of seal does not accommodate bicyclists that use the road. The unsealed shoulders constantly require maintenance.
The existing narrow sealed road section is to be widened . The shoulders are to be strengthened with a deeper pavement to form a pavement to 9.2 metres wide to allow the seal to be widened to 8.2 metres wide to incorporate bicycle lanes. Renewal of the bend to meet safe geometric design standards.
Total cost of proposed project is $300,000 |
