Project DescriptionThe bridge was constructed in 1929 and the concrete is now fully carbonised and cannot be attributed a reliable compressive strength. As a result it is deemed beyond repair and needs to be replaced.
Demolish the old bridge and construct a new single-lane bridge on the current alignment. The new bridge will be 1m higher than the existing bridge, it will have a single lane of 4.23m between barriers and the length of the bridge is 75.6m. The bridge will be constructed using Standard Main Road WA Precast concrete planks.
Total cost of proposed project is $4,024,773 |
