Project Description

The project upgraded the existing Murrungowar rest area to increase the number of heavy vehicle parking spaces to eight bays.


The project will improve heavy vehicle safety and productivity by providing opportunities for drivers to manage fatigue by improving the quality of rest areas.


The Australian Government has committed $2,235,000 to this project.


The project commenced 1 February 2016 and was completed 16 December 2016.
