Project DescriptionThis project involved the upgrade of the existing arterial road network and Long Street to provide a heavy vehicle bypass of the Leongatha town centre in south east Victoria. BenefitsThe project is expected to improve road safety, amenity and commercial opportunities in the Leongatha CBD by providing an alternate route to redirect through traffic and in particular heavy vehicles. FundingThe Australian Government committed $4,125,000 to this project. TimetableConstruction commenced 15 February 2016 and was completed 4 November 2016. |
