Project DescriptionThis section of Sedan Dip Road is 500m of 6m wide unsealed black soil road. As Sedan Dip Road is an arterial road linking McKinlay Shire with Cloncurry, it is subject to heavy stock movement and tourist traffic. The black soil road consistently requires work to smooth corrugations and rectify potholes as the road becomes impassable during wet periods (often for 2 weeks at a time). This segment of road when sealed will provide all weather access to the travelling public.
Form and seal 500m of 6m wide unsealed black soil road. The starting point on Sedan Dip Road to be 29km from the Link Road intersection with Sedan Dip Road. Works also to include re-instatement of shoulders, road markers and signage. |
