Project DescriptionThe existing sealed pavement is inadequate, has significant rutting, sections with incorrect cross fall, sections with no crown and sections where water ponds. Table drains are insufficient for the rainfall of the area and a number of very large trees exist close to the existing pavement.
Remove the large trees to allow reconstruction and widening of the existing road with placement of 150mm of gravel to a pavement width of 8 metres and a seal width of 6 metres. Place new or replace culverts (six in number) using 300mm or 450mm diameter pipes. Place new headwalls to all culverts. reform table drains to allow unrestricted flow of surface water run off.
Place signs and guide posts as per the relevant Australian Standards.
Total cost of proposed project is $481,271 |
