Project DescriptionThe narrow 3.7m single lane road is a safety concern for passing vehicles (speed limit is 100 kilometers per hour) and widening of the road would improve road safety. Also worn pavement and uneven pavement surface cause inconvenience to motorists and there is a potential for run off road accident. To overcome this, some sections of the uneven surface (especially at bends) will be reshaped.
• Formation widening from 5.4 metres to 7.4 metres.
• An Overlay of gravel up to 140 millimetres at various sections to improve strength of the pavement & ride quality.
• Seal widening from 3.7 metres to 6.2 metres.
• Reforming table drains to improve the drainage. |
