Project DescriptionThis culvert structure has deep drop offs on both sides and the old railing has failed. Pipes are also exhibiting signs of cracking and separation and therefore are being replaced with a pre-cast concrete bridge unit.
It is proposed to place current standard guard rail on this structure and to carry out pavement works on both approaches to improve safety. Subsequent inspection of culvert has identified need to replace pipes with pre-cast crown unit. Project scope and associated budget has therefore been modified to allow for this additional work. |
