Project DescriptionThe existing sealed road is in poor condition with numerous surface defects and pavement failures. The road is very rough and provides poor ride quality to road users. Repair of the frequent and repetitive pavement and surfacing failures causes a high maintenance expenditure.
Rehabilitation of the southern 1.0km of road pavement by application of a gravel overlay and a new sealed surface. Rehabilitation of the northern 0.14km by excavation and replacement of the existing pavement and the provision of a new sealed surface. The concrete causeway section of the road will remain unchanged. |
