Project Description

Dalrymple Road is a sealed collector road linking Bridport Road to the East Tamar Highway, with significant collector roads branching off at Old Bangor Tram Road, The Glen Road and Industry Road. For the majority of its length Dalrymple Road is in poor condition and this is coupled with narrow pavement widths and shoulders. A tight turning radius at all intersections requires vehicles top dramatically reduce speed prior to entering the junctions from Dalrymple Road.

The project is to reconstruct the intersections to allow extra width of pavement, allowing turning vehicles to slow, whilst providing enough width for through traffic on Dalrymple Road to continue unimpeded.
