Project DescriptionThere are numerous pavement failure along the outer edge and across the pavement width due to the pavement not being strong enough. This length of road is in an unsafe condition for the use of heavy transport on what is an important freight route from the Baradine/Coonamble/Pilliga areas into Wee Waa and the railway line at Wee Waa
The work consists of heavy patch repair over the failed section of road in both part and full width to provide strength and safety to the road users. This heavy patching consists of the addition of gravel as required and the stabilisation of the existing material. There will also be some resealing of sections of the road where the pavement is sound, but the existing bitumen is oxidised
Total cost of proposed project is $1,150,000 |
