Project Description

This section of a rural road (approximately 5.8km) on the northern outskirts of the remote Aboriginal community of Yalata has sections that are badly eroded and other sections that are extremely dusty. On days of funerals this road carries large numbers of vehicles travelling in close proximity to each other with very limited visibility due to high levels of dust. this creates a potentially unsafe environment on days when emotions are high on days of funerals.

The sections of the road needing will have new gravel sheeting and other sections of the road will be graded to bring the road upto a safe standard.
