This is one of the 20 projects being delivered as part of the Australian Government's $508 million commitment to the Warrego Highway Upgrade Program.
The project involved duplication of 3.5km section from two to four lanes between the Moonie Highway intersection and the Condamine St and Watt St intersection in Dalby. The project scope comprises safety works and intersection upgrades including signalisation of the Dalby-Jandawae Road and the Black St intersection, as well as pavement strenghtening.
The project will improve safety and capacity at this location, on the Warrego Highway.
Strengthening works will allow the pavement to withstand a predicted increase in heavy vehicle usage.
The Australian Government has provided up to $47 million towards the project in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Construction commenced in August 2017 and was completed in late 2018.
