This is one of the 20 projects being delivered as part of the Australian Government's $508 million commitment to the Warrego Highway Upgrade Program.
The project consists of five packages of work containing safety treatments spanning the Warrego Highway between Oakey and Miles. The works include high priority safety treatments, such as audio tactile marking, wide centre line treatments and intersection upgrades.
The project will improve safety, through the reduction of major road accidents, and capacity on the Warrego Highway.
The Australian Government is providing up to $34.81 million to the project in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Construction commenced in early 2017 and is expected to be complete by Early 2020.
