One of 20 projects delivered as part of the Australian Government's $508 million commitment to the Warrego Highway Upgrade Program.
The project consisted of five packages of work containing safety treatments spanning the Warrego Highway between Oakey and Miles. The works included high priority safety treatments, such as audio tactile marking, wide centre line treatments and intersection upgrades.
The project improved safety, through the reduction of major road accidents, and capacity on the Warrego Highway.
The Australian Government provided up to $34.81 million to the project in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Construction commenced in early 2017 and was completed in late 2020.
