Project DescriptionRoad is formed from natural material only and is in poor condition. Road is undulating and there is poor sight distance in several locations, including one corner which is of safety concern. Drainage is also a problem as after rain events water pools on the road and has no path to escape.
Road reconstruction, reforming the road to design standards. Realignment of a section of road to increase safety and increase sight distances. Gravel overlay to improve condition of the road and reduce future maintenance requirements. Construction of overland drainage paths to allow water to drain off road surface. Installation of advisory signage at required locations. Replacement of damaged cattle grid in work area. Construction of a safe area for local school buses to pull over as this is a bus route. |
