Project DescriptionRoad surface is worn resulting in an unpredictable surface with high maintenance requirements. Drainage is poor in this location as the road is lower than the surrounding areas resulting in water running down the road and pooling across the road in rain events. This leads to the road having to be closed in times of high rainfall.
Design for this section to road to be reconstructed to design standards to lift the level of the road and provide adequate drainage to allow the road to be passable in times of wet weather. Design to include gravel overlay and overland drainage system.
Construction is proposed to be undertaken as part of the 2015/16 Roads to Recovery Program. |
