Project DescriptionThe project will complete project identification, planning, scoping and preconstruction activities to enable the development and delivery of the Midland Highway Upgrade Program. BenefitsThe project will allow the Tasmanian Government to carry out investigations and seek approvals in advance of the detailed development of projects along the Midland Highway. FundingThe estimated cost of the project is $25.9 million. The Australian Government is contributing $18.9 million and the Tasmanian Government the remaining funding. TimetablePreconstruction activities commenced in March 2015 and are expected to be completed in mid 2022. |
