Project DescriptionThe project involved pavement widening and strengthening of approximately 30 kilometres of narrow and rough pavement on the Flinders Highway between Hughenden and Cloncurry. BenefitsThe project assists in reducing vehicle operating and maintenance costs, increasing safety and improving travel times for road users. FundingThe Australian Government has committed up to $19 million towards the project, in partnership with the Queensland Government. TimetableThe project commenced March 2016 and was completed in February 2017. |
