Project DescriptionDuring rainfall events and resultant flooding of the Western River, existing 12km gravel access road to the Australian Age Of Dinosaurs Museum becomes impassable and is closed for prolonged periods (up to 2 weeks) resulting in significant loss of visitations. During the dry season, the road is dusty and large traffic volumes cause severe and dangerous corrugations to form in the running surface.
Provide safe all weather access to the Australian Age Of the Dinosaurs Museum over the Western River floodplain and jump up. The existing gravel road require a major realignment, a new pavement, a bitumen seal and the construction of a number of floodways.
Total cost of proposed project is $300,000 |
