Project Description

Ringwood Road provides access to 5 large cattle stations and several small indigenous communities. The road is well used by mining exploration. It is also part of the Binns Track providing a 4WD experience for tourism. The road is currently experiencing very dry conditions, with very high road train usage for cattle transport. This heavy vehicle traffic has caused numerous sections of road to deteriorate into deep bulldust. This year there has been reports of 3 rollovers involving road train trailers, due to the poor pavement conditions.

Reform existing pavement, construct a new gravel base course and improve drainage.
